The Burke Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department was incorporated on January 29, 1948 after a group of Burke residents recognized the need for a fire company in the community.

The partnership between the County, the Department, and the local community, who donate generously to the Department, have ensured a significant contribution to saving lives and property. We look forward to continuing this partnership as we recruit the new members who will be the future of this Department.”
